Puye Cliff Dwellings

Espanola, NM ---- These dwellings are actually a small reconstruction of an ancient pueblo of the Santa Clara Indians. There were once about 740 rooms in the cliff dwellings about 200 foot up the face of the cliff. Additional ruins are on the mesa above the cliffs and probably some were in the valley below. These ruins date back to about the 10th century.
