San Jose Catholic Church
Cuchillo, NM
Another ghost town, more or less. The town was established in the 1850's and peaked in the late 1800's up to 1930. It was a trade center and stage coach stop serving the mining areas further west. When mining petered out, so did Cuchillo. The church, rebuilt for the third time in 1907, still stands and is functioning for the town's remaining 35 residents.
