La Villita Catholic Church

La Villita is a very small town (about 1000 people) along the Rio Grande between Taos and Espanola. It seems every town along the route (County Road 41 which parallels the more traveled Route 68) has a small Catholic chapel. The rear of this church was painted with an image of the Guadalupe, though some thought at first it might be Jesus because of what appears to be a beard. I also love the graffiti on the wall adjacent and the modest graveyard.
