This abandoned building was representative of many we saw all across the US. Once fine and stately and flourishing, now down and out, as are many of the towns and their townsfolk. This building was in Las Vegas, NM - a town trying to hang on and make a comeback. It had a very interesting history when it was booming and has over 900 building on the historic register. We can highly recommend a stay at the Plaza Hotel there, a fantastic space and nicely saved. --- RM ---
