Working Watermen’s

Ocracoke, NC
Though Ocracoke is known as a fishing mecca, only a small percentage of the local population work at commercial fishing. Nonetheless, there is a fishing co-op, a small store open many months a year with local catch, and a recently opened Working Watermen’s Exhibit. Photos from this exhibit will be coming up, scattered among various posts, but I’m glad to say now that there are Working Waterwomen on Ocracoke, too! — GB —
