Guarded Heart
Taos, NM
This wall decoration is in a courtyard off Dona Luz Street in Taos. I'm guessing that it was created by Pablo Flores, a local folk artist who often combines religious imagery, found objects, and nails or barbed wire to represent "redeemed objects." An interesting man with a checkered youth who found his salvation. If this sculpture isn't his, it certainly made me think of him. We have two of his works in our home.
