Rosaries at Chimayo

At the famous Sanctuary of Chimayo there are many crosses, statues, and other objects adorned with rosaries. While we were there this past fall one of the women volunteers, perhaps a nun herself, was collecting rosaries that had been there for some time, getting them ready for resale to visitors and pilgrims to the site. I wonder if this form of recycling has moral implications??
