Near the John Dunne Bridge, Arroyo Hondo, NM
Here’s a memorial painted on a rock wall near the John Dunne Bridge in Arroyo Hondo. The whole area is sheer rock walls with the Rio Grande meandering through at the base. There are few bridges that cross the Rio Grande this far north in New Mexico. This one has pretty easy river access for fishermen, or for us hot mamas and doggies to paddle around in July. The water is still pretty cool then, but bearable. — RM —
