Saint Francis in Ranchos
Ranchos de Taos, NM This is the front exterior of the famous, most photographed, most painted, church. It was built between 1772 and 1816 and is now a National Historic Landmark and a World Heritage Church. It's interesting to look at old photos of the front of the church (see Wikipedia) because the statue of St. Francis isn't there. I don't know when that was added. Interestingly, it's the rear exterior of the church which is most often featured in photos and paintings.
