Jesus Statue at Chimayo
Chimayo, NM ---- At the shrine in Chimayo is this wonderfully carved statue. Not being Catholic, I don't know if it's a depiction of Jesus being removed from the cross or Jesus offering forgiveness and confort. Both seem to be common themes in religious art. Some help clarifying that would be appreciated. Nonetheless, I think it's a striking image.
